The greenery and charming paths of Istria
Istria is full of picturesque landscapes and is, therefore, an unavoidable destination for many outdoor lovers. There are many hike trails, but only great guides know the best ones. You will have a great hike trip with wine tasting and finger food included. First, we will organize a transfer from your accommodation to Pićan. You will take a tour of this old, well-preserved medieval village which today is best known as an important bishop village. The walk begins by descending through the typical vegetation for this area, low-growing oak and shrubs. You will walk on hiking trails, dirt roads, and forest floor. You will see typical cultural landscapes, small villages with several houses where time stopped, but you will also see that some old stone houses have turned into small holiday homes. You will go out over the hill, and if there is good visibility, the view reaches all the way to Učka mountain. Part of the hike will follow a Way of the Cross with 14 stops for prayer, a symbol of Jesus’ sufferings, but for you, it will be a stop for rest and maybe a sip of water. Along the way, you will make a stop for possible snacks and photography. This tour will be combined with wine tasting, but can also be combined with other desired amenities. A transfer vehicle will pick you up and take you back to your accommodation. (DISTANCE: 9 km, +175/-135 m)
